Building Home Project Update
It’s been an exciting season of visible progress on our Building Home Project, and we’re so thankful to see things moving forward week by week! Here’s a quick look at some of the recent milestones and what’s ahead.
Site Progress
The general site grading is complete, and underground utilities are now installed. Our electrical team has also been busy setting light pole bases and underground conduit throughout the parking areas.
A major win—our electrical transformer has been set, which means the building will be ready for power when the time comes!
Looking ahead to next week, crews will begin paving the main drive and several parking areas, creating better access around the building for the winter months. The natural gas connection is also scheduled for installation, which will provide the heating source we’ll need throughout the colder season. Additional rock and grading work will continue around the drive areas and pond as well.
Building Progress
On the building itself, the building pad has been poured and underslab plumbing is complete. Over the last few weeks, structural steel has been going up—a huge step toward seeing the full frame of the building take shape!
Next up: the team will begin installing roof panels and wall framing. This phase will include a mock-up wall, giving us a first look at how the exterior will come together. Brickwork will begin shortly after. While the brick will first appear in a red/brown tone, it will ultimately be painted to match the modern, contemporary color palette planned for the building’s design.
Looking Ahead
The goal for this fall is to complete the building envelope and have adequate paving in place for safe and clean access throughout the winter months.
Although the overall project schedule has experienced some delays due to the unusually wet spring and early summer, we continue to trust that the weather and timing are in God’s hands. Please join us in praying for favorable conditions this fall as crews work to bring the building “in the dry.”
