Building Home Update: Early Spring Progress!
We are praising God for the incredible momentum at our new church home! Despite the winter months, the Lord has provided favor, and our building is transforming daily from a construction site into a house of worship.
The Exterior: A Completed Shell
The "building envelope" is now primarily complete! The roof is finished, and the beautiful combination of brick and metal wall paneling is fully installed. While a few temporary doors remain for construction access, most permanent windows and doors are in place.
With the early spring weather, our grading and paving contractors are already back on site working on the parking lot and sidewalks. If these higher temperatures hold, we will soon begin painting the exterior brick and installing our official building signage!
The Interior: Making it a Home
Inside, the progress is just as breathtaking. All interior walls and the sanctuary platform have been framed, drywalled, and taped. We are now moving into the painting phase! A dedicated team from our church family has been working hard to select the perfect colors and furnishings to make this space feel like home.
Our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams have completed their rough-ins. We are currently installing the large roof-mounted AC units and electrical panels, and we anticipate having permanent power to the building within the next few weeks!
City Infrastructure & Access
The City of Grimes has begun improvements on James Street and 19th Street. While this may cause some temporary navigation changes, the city is coordinating with us to ensure at least one church entry remains open at all times. We are thrilled that these improvements will provide even better traffic flow for our future services!
