Building Home

Building a home for our church to impact our city.

We are building a home for our church to impact our city. What was seven acres of farmland, will house a 26,500 square foot church building. With 680 seats in the auditorium and a state-of-the-art kids space, we will be poised to impact future generations. We are building a church home that will outlive all of us. Think about how many people will experience the life-changing power of Jesus through Summitcreek Church!

What will it take?

This is a big vision, but we serve a big God! And God loves to use His people to build His Church. As we all participate and do our part, with God’s help, we will see
our home built soon!

$1.75 million by spring 2026 in white text on a golden background.

The goal for this “Building Home” campaign is $1.75 million. With this amount plus what we have already saved, and with what we will borrow, we can build our new home for an estimated total project cost of $9.5 million.

Doing this keeps us in a healthy financial position, so we can continue to operate with margin, be generous to missions, and maintain excellent ministries to care for our church family and impact our city.

We are asking you to pray and ask God what He would want you to strategically and generously give over the course of this “Building Home” campaign.

Creative Ways to Give

Decrease

Are there things in your life you can do less frequently? Maybe it's fewer coffee runs or taking lunch from home. By decreasing a weekly expense, you can save a significant amount to contribute.

Delay

Are there plans you might be making that involve a financial commitment? If so, prayerfully ask God about delaying those plans and using the extra income to contribute.

Redirect

Maybe you have financial obligations that will be fulfilled during the project, like tuition payments, car loans, etc. You could redirect those funds after those obligations are fulfilled. Or, perhaps you could dedicate a future raise or bonus.

Donate

A great way to contribute is to give existing assets. Transferring assets such as stocks, bonds, artwork, real estate, or land to the church may eliminate potential capital gains taxes and may increase after-tax proceeds. Please contact the church office for more guidance before committing an asset gift.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a capital campaign?

A capital campaign is a church-wide concerted effort to raise funds for our new facility.

What is the business plan for funding our new facility?

We plan to utilize cash on hand, income from our Building Home campaign, and long and short term borrowing.

Should I redirect my regular giving to Building Home?

Giving to “Building Home” is a sacrificial gift above and beyond our regular giving. This additional support enables a growth initiative outside Summitcreek’s regular operating budget. Regular giving goes to support the operating budget, which funds day to day ministry.

Is my giving tax-deductible?

Our tax codes and laws are changing. Questions of this nature ultimately need to be answered by a certified accountant before making your commitment. Nevertheless, it is our general understanding that charitable giving and donations are deductible.

When will this funding initiative end?

Our goal is by Spring of 2026 or whenever the project is completed.

How long do I have to fulfill my commitment?

Our commitments will spread over 24 months. We can give weekly, monthly, or in a one-time gift.
