We are excited to share another Building Home update! Our team has refined the site and building plans and sent the formal submission of plans to the City of Grimes. We're currently waiting on their initial review comments. The building team, consultants and general contractor continue to work through the estimating process to ensure the project meets the current budget for both the site and building. Additional dirt for the site has been found, and we praise God for His provision in this area! This has also opened the possibility to start moving dirt and associated site work this fall, weather permitting. This would give us a good jump start on the site work with the intention of being able to start the building earlier next spring.
Prayer Requests:
- Open dialog and continued favor with the City of Grimes on the initial plans submittal.
- Favorable weather conditions to be able to start moving dirt and complete the majority of site work yet this fall.
- Continued wisdom and discernment for all of those on the building team including consultants and general contractor.
- Unity and likemindedness for all church representatives, design and construction team members.
- Continued excitement and financial provision for the project.
